Description
This filly is being sold predominantly as a broodmare though with time has been rated a fair chance of being able to race again. Casual Witness was a dominant Doomben trial winner in June (link below) before starting a short priced favourite on debut.
Everything went wrong that day and her 3rd at the Gold Coast at a mid week Metropolitan meeting at her next start was encouraging. Unfortunately as we would find out her knee would not allow her to show her best under race conditions.
We have had 3 veterinary opinions and they all recommend 6-12 months rest before her looking to race again(vet report attached). She is from a very fast immediate family with Matty winning his 1st 3 races before starting favourite in a listed race up the Flemington straight. Her full sister, Lucky Cat won like a very good horse on debut coming from the back of the field.
She has furnished into a very nice mare and with Star Witness best progeny being the fillies/mares she will make a nice broodmare.
