Mister Mcilroy is a lightly raced, Outstanding Looking Type who is well put together as you can tell by the pictures.
Roy was a $275.000 Yearling and you would pay that just on his looks.
Roy is a half brother to the well performed New Zealand Import Hi Flyer, a true Blue Blood of the racing industry, Roy is a good size of a gelding who weighs 550kg so took a little while for the trainer to get fully fit for his first preparation for us and despite being placed in the strong Victoria Provincial Area,
Roy really excelled in only his 8 starts in NSW# With 3 Wins / Including 3 Thirds and a 4th,
Only two starts ago Roy carried 61.5kg over 1300m, Caught 3 Wide entire trip and still won fighting and kicking away last 50m when challenged, Last start run Third and may need a few weeks freshen up now.
Roy is a genuine Mid Week to Sat Horse in the making and while we believe he will still win races here would really Ecxel in Qld, SA, or WA to Sat Grade in our opinion.
