Plea Bargain
Ultra consistent 6 year old gelding by Teofilo
Has been given plenty of time to mature and is only now reaching his racing distance.
Likes to settle on speed or lead in his races, Big, strong, 17 hands.
Unlucky not to have won many times in his last two preparations.
Has come up against very progressive horses in the strong provincial circuit of NSW.. Was beaten by last start winner Victory Anthem – beaten by into 3rd by city class galloper ILWENDO (Germany) at Kembla Grange – and beaten into 3rd by stakes performer Mark Two (NZ) at Gosford.
Her previous form included a 2nd in a Group II in NZ and a 5th in the NZ Oaks GI
Broke his maiden at Kembla over 2400m in bold style beating subsequent Randwick winner Heartlings. Plea Bargain led that day and fought on tenaciously in the straight when headed.
He has been placed in 6 of his last 7 starts. They don’t get much more consistent than that.
Came to the end of his preparation and knocked up at Randwick on Melbourne cup day having had enough this time in. He has only been up to the trip this time in and has been given plenty of time by the owners.
Having now had 2 weeks in the paddock he is due to come back into work again early December.
The horse is available for inspection at Turpentine Park just outside of Nowra.
Sound and competitive at a distance Plea Bargain is competitive in races from 1400 – 2800m and will suit any stable looking for a horse that can get a trip and has the capacity to go through the grades in the right environment.
