PRINCE CHERI is the German bred Group 3 winning son of LANDO - Champion 7 time Group 1 winner and TWICE German Horse of the year ahead of the great MONSUN.
His dam PRINCESS CHERI is a half sister to Group 1 winner and German horse of the year PRINCE FLORI, also by LANDO, and hails from a female Line that has been exclusively German for the last 100 years.
Prince Cheri commenced his racing career in France and at his first start defeated HE'S YOUR MAN who was also exported to Australia and went on to win the Group 1 Epsom Handicap. Like many of the elite German bred horses, Prince Cheri possessed a great stamina and an explosive turn of foot with the ability rattle off quick sectionals as shown in the Kingston Town Stakes and all his wins from 1500m to 2400m.
Another exciting attribute is that Prince Cheri is NORTHERN DANCER FREE. You only need to look at the outstanding success MONSUN enjoyed when introduced to Northern Dancer and Nasrullah. His impressive stats of 15.2% Stakes Winners to foals rival those of the great Galileo 11.65%, Dubawi 12.7%, Sadler's Wells 13.6% and Danehill 14.4%.
Prince Cheri has been bred to SURUMU 3x3 and is the Grandson of prolific Black Type producer ACATENANGO, who produced an amazing 20.8% Stakes Winners to foals. Monsun, who's dam sire is Surumu, shares a similar overall pedigree with Prince Cheri which clearly suggests the latter will make an impact as a Stallion when introduced to our mares.
