Description
Caveman is QTIS nominated and is unraced.
After Caveman was broken in, he had a light ‘educational’ preparation and was then turned out for a 3 months spell.
He subsequently had two solid preparations and was spelled on 18 December 2018 to allow him to fill his frame. At the time his back end measured approximately 16.1 ½ hh whilst at the withers he measured approximately 15.3 ½ hh and weighted 528kg.
The photos and video were taken on 20 January 2019 which confirm that the decision to spell him was the right decision. Caveman is not rugged up and is out in the paddock.
For those that value a high degree of accuracy, I intend to keep Caveman in the paddock till end of February 2019 to afford him the opportunity to further fill his frame; should he not make his reserve. There is no point in burning him out as a 2 year old!

Caveman is inbred 4S x 3D to Royal Academy, via a daughter, the dam of Fastnet Rock and a son, Bel Esprit.
Caveman is the second foal of his dam, Intelligente.
His elder half-brother Erebor, by Spinning World, had the race record of 9–2:1:1 for $19,045 before an injury in July 2017 left him in the paddock for 13 months. Caveman is a different type (taller, longer in the back, stronger loins and shoulder) than Erebor.
His dam has a yearling filly by Outreach and a 4-month old filly by Stratum Star and was served again by Stratum Star last season.
Caveman can be inspected by appointment at Murwillumbah NSW 2484.
