Description
Delirious is an unraced 6 year old mare who has made a strong start to her breeding career with three excellent foals and now has her career in front of her.
A medium sized, uncomplicated mare who has proven to be a good breeder, Delirious is in foal to an exciting young stallion in Nostradamus whose oldest crop of horses are yearlings and have sold to a high of $125,000 in the current Australasian yearling sale series.
A multiple Group winning son of Medaglia D’Oro who is a half brother to gun sire Star Witness, Nostradamus’s popularity with breeders has followed him into the sale ring with buyers and he is sure to make an even bigger splash when his first runners start racing next season.
Delirious herself is out of a mare who has sent two to the races for two winners and her second dam is the Gr1 Oaks winning filly WEEKEND DELIGHT, herself the mother of 5 winners, including the dam of another Gr1 winner in TEARS I CRY.
Delirious’s second foal (a filly by Foxwedge) is being retained by her breeders to race and her third foal (a colt by Star Turn) is an outstanding colt from the first crop of exciting Vinery stallion Star Turn.
This is a family whose record is sure to grow in coming seasons.
