This weanling colt by Dissident is the first foal of well related Redoute's Choice mare Corkedge. A $150,000 yearling herself, Corkedge is a half sister to Group winners VINTEDGE and YOUTH'S EDGE, with her broodmare sires Rory's Jester and Godswalk respectively.
Dissident has sired two winners and two stakes placegetters from his first crop 2YO's to date including the very promising filly FOXBOROUGH, and colt DISRUPTOR. Given his progeny should excel over further ground as 3YOs and beyond, you could expect Dissident's profile to continue to rise in the forthcoming 12 months.
As a type this weanling colt is correct and a good shape, but he is a small first foal. There is some scope for improvement given he was born on 19 October 2018. He is available for inspection by appointment at Newgate Farm, Aberdeen.
