Description
Jessej sold for $350,000 as a yearling and has furnished into a strong and powerful broodmare standing 16 hands. She has very good conformation and has a wonderful nature.
She was an impressive winner but unfortunately her racing career was cut short because of injury.
Her dam, Jesse’s Girl was a 2yo city winner and 4 time stakes runner up. On debut as a November 2yo she was narrowly beaten into 4th by Star Witness who went to win the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes. She returned after a spell to win at 2 at Sandown and then embarked on interstate trips to Adelaide, where she finished runner up in the Listed Dequetteville Stakes, and Brisbane where she finished runner up in the Group 2 BRC Sires Produce Stakes. As a 3yo Jesse’s Girl was desperately unlucky finishing a narrow second in the Group 3 Champagne Stakes and then she ran yet another second in the Group 3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes.
Jesse’s Girl is a full sisiter to the brilliant sprinting filly, Eloping who won 5 stakes races including the Listed Blue Diamond Preview and the Group 3 Keith MacKay Stakes at 2 and the Group 3 Champagne Stakes and the Blue Sapphire Stakes at 3. Her last stakes win was in the Listed Silk Stocking on the Gold Coast as a 4yo.. Eloping amassed prizemoney of $1.23m. Jesse’s Girl is also a three quarter sister to dual stakes winning 2yo, Of the Brave who won the Listed Debutant Stakes on debut before winning the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude defeating Pride Of Dubai.
Jessej is in foal to exciting first season sire prospect, Pariah (by Redoutes Choice). Pariah won the Group 3 Canonbury Stakes brilliantly on debut before finishing a narrow second in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes after enduring a torrid run. As a 3yo he retuned to the track winning the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes. He is superb physical type with a great pedigree being a three quarter brother to dual Group 1 winning mare Melito.
