Description
Multiple winning, city performed maiden mare who currently holds a 3 star nomination in Cable Bay's closed book. Cedar Grande was best over 2000+ but has a turn of foot that saw her also win over 1400/1600m. She placed at Moonee Valley two weeks ago and backed up for a 5th at Caulfield last week on a firming track (preferring soft conditions). On the track she twice beat colts who went on to place 2nd in their respective Derbys.
Cedar Grande was handpicked by top breeder Rick Jamieson of Gilgai Farm, as a ‘must have’ for Cable Bay, rating her 3 stars from his pedigree matching techniques which aim to improve the chances of success of his progeny.
Cable Bay is a stakes performed juvenile with Timeform rating of 121. A well conformed good looking horse by sire of sires Invincible Spirit, with all the attributes to make a successful sire globally. In the northern hemisphere his first crop have hit the track early and successfully, breaking track records and including stakes winner Liberty Beach. Here in Australia he has produced some of the nicest foals of farms.
Cedar Grande stands approximately 15.3 and with a lovely nature, she is balanced, has scope, depth and a lovely action. Cedar is only being offered for sale as the owners don't wish to breed.
