Cinque Cavalli has an enviable record for producing winners to foals - 100% for the first 3 crops bred here, so while there are no guarantees in racing, as Gruen was bred and raised here he has a better then even chance of winning races.
Gruen is now 2 - he was broken in, has a 10 week spell, went to Daniel Gooley at Wyong for his education prep, had another 10 week spell and is now ready to embark upon his career.
He is for sale as we race very few, and only fillies/mares as we also breed. As his sire had gone out of favor by the time the yearling sales came around it was not worth prepping him for them, but instead we have focused on his education as a racehorse without pushing him through a ready-to-race prep.
We have retained his 3yo full sister Scary Spice who has had some nice preps and will be back in work in the next few weeks.
Gruen is a big, strong cocky boy. No issues with unsoundness or noisy wind, no trouble to catch float etc, and Daniel gave him the thumbs up. The video is of him working there during his last prep. The photos are this week.
Gruen would be a touch over 16hh and a nice athletic type. Still a bit immature in his attitude so probably more of a 3yo+ type.
I do not have a scope or vet report but will be very happy to renegotiate or cancel his sale if his buyer has them done within 30 days of purchase and he fails either.
