Description
A quality yearling filly by SCINTILLO from Caminetto ( Fastnet Rock).
She has Oaks stamped all over her with her stout pedigree.
SCINTILLO won the 2yo Gran Criterium Group 1, defeating Gladiatorus (who shortly after won G1's Dubai Duty Free and Premio Vittorio) and was awarded the ‘ World’s highest rated horse “.
As a 4yo he won theGroup 2 Grand Prix de Chantilly defeating Chincon (winner of G1 $2m Singapore Airlines International Cup & Gr 1 United Nations Stakes) and the Gr 3 Winter Derby.
Earlier he was crowned the Champion 2YO colt in Italy in 2007 .
Scintillo is out of the multiple Group 1 winning mare Danseuse Du Soir, incl the French Thousand Guineas . She was the Broodmare of the Year in 2007.
Scintillo's sire the Group 1 winner Fantastic Light won six Group 1 races in five countries and retired with earnings of $8,486,957.
SCINTILLO is FANTASTIC LIGHT’S only son at stud . He is well represented by his daughters as they have produced three Gr1 winners to date incl TRIP TO PARIS , Ascot Gold Cup .
Dam of this filly Caminetto by FASTNET ROCK was a winner & a $240,000 yearling.
Her dam Very Speed was placed in France and is the dam of 5 winners to date and a ½ sister to Gr1, Gr2 & Gr3 winner MEMORIES and she is turn is a half to the dam of the war horse ZIPPING , 16 wins , over $4.5m in earnings , incl the Australian Cup Gr1 & Turnbull Stakes, Gr1 . Remarkably he was twice 2nd in the Cox Plate in addition to a 3rd placing.
She has a scar on her off fore knee due to a cut that occurred during a storm. This is superficial and has no effect on her joint or future performance.
