In foal to ANDERS with an ANDERS colt at foot
Vogue Rock is a young, commercial mare by Written Tycoon, who is a making a bright start to his broodmare sire career. Physically she is typical of her sire, a strong, short coupled type who looks fast. She was a winner over 1000m and is a full sister to the five time winning filly Diamond Baroness. She is bred on the same Written Tycoon x Redoute’s Choice cross as the likes of Enthaar, Teleplay and Luna Rossa.
Vogue Rock is for sale with her Anders colt at foot, and for a first foal, he is a cracking type. He is everything you’d expect from this mating, he looks fast! This colt is a short coupled, precocious, and correct type and is typical from what we are seeing from the first crop of Anders. He’s a colt that oozes class and would be a great addition to a weanling or yearling draft. Anders himself was a speedball with Ciaron Maher going as far as saying he is the fastest he’s ever trained! His wins in the Rosebud (defeating Ole Kirk) and Group Three San Domenico had to be seen to be believed. His abundance of speed has led to him being one of the most patronised young stallions in the land with over 350 mares visiting him in his first two seasons.
It’s unsurprising that, on the sheer strength of her first foal, Vogue Rock is being sold back in foal to Anders with another foal due on the ground in late September. Mares in foal to Anders have already been well sought after in the sale ring, with mares selling up to $230,000 and eight others fetching $100,000 or more – a great return on the back of a $16,500 service fee.
