This colt is the second foal out of LATIN SPIRIT, herself a sibling to 4 winners and the daughter of Group 1 VRC Oaks placegetter & Group 2 Stan Fox Stakes runner-up ROMA GIACONDA.
LATIN SPIRIT's first foal by STREET BOSS made $80,000 at the 2024 Melbourne Premier Sale, the now 2YO named LATIN BOSS (4-1:0:0 & $49,900) won two 800m Jumpouts at Flemington on October 1 & October 25 before debuting in the Listed $500,000 2YO Inglis Banner on November 9. LATIN BOSS started a $5.50 second favourite in the Inglis Banner, where he led at the 400m mark, before being overrun in a race won by subsequent Group 2 Sweet Embrace winner WITHIN THE LAW.
LATIN BOSS has since won an 800m Jumpout at Pakenham on March 25, ran 4th (btn 0.6L) first up in a 1000m 2YO at Cranbourne on Friday April 4 and WON over 1000m at Pakenham on April 24 when leading all the way in a 10-horse field and posting a fast time of 56.94.
LATIN BOSS ran a gallant fourth at Caulfield on May 10 in the $150,000 VOBIS Silver 2YO race over 1100m.
