Description

Kilimanjaro is a 7yo grey gelding by one of Australasia’s leading stallions in High Chaparral, the sire of Champion racehorses such as the multiple G1 Cox Plate winner So You Think, the G1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner Dundeel and the G1 Victoria Derby winner Ace High.
He is out of a winning Dalakhani mare who is a half-sister to European Stakes winners Nayarra, Gustav Klimt and Wonderfully.
To date the gelding has had 11 starts over 1600m-2500m, winning on 2 occasions, being placed on a further 3 and amassing over $250,000 in prizemoney.
His race performances of note include a victory in the Lingfield Derby Trial (Listed), a 6th behind Golden Horn in The Derby at Epsom (where he came from last on Tattenham Corner) and a 4th in the G1 Irish Derby. In Australia, he has placed 3 times in Metropolitan grade at Flemington.
Kilimanjaro last start was on the 11th August 2018 at Flemington, finishing 3rd behind the progressive Jaameh, who is on a Melbourne Cup path.
