Gr.3 winning imported galloper by MONTJEU (IRE) and 2x winner in Australia.

Hans Holbein won two races as a 3yo in the UK including the 2015 Gr.3 Chester Vase where he beat STORM THE STARS - before a start in the 2015 Gr.1 EPSOM DERBY where he finished 7th behind GOLDEN HORN.

Hans Holbein (GB) was then imported to Australia winning a further two races. He won at Bendigo (2400m) on April 1, 2017, before a third to eventual Caulfield Cup winner BOOM TIME at Caulfield. He bounced back for an all the way 8 length romp at Flemington (2500m) on April 25.

He raced on the 16th September, 2017 at Flemington in the Listed JRA Trophy, won by 2016 Melbourne Cup winner ALMANDIN (GER) before heading to the paddock for a spell.

His only run this preparation on the 4th August 2018 over 2040m at Money Valley was behind recent Listed Wyong Cup winner MORTON’S FORK.

An exceptionally bred stayer not only by Champion sire MONTJEU (IRE) but also a half brother to Champion Stayer in GB & Ireland SANS FRONTIERES and multiple Stakes winning middle distance galloper KOOTENAY.
