Jemss is an Stakes-placed 2YO filly (approx 16hh) offered as a racing and breeding prospect, to dissolve a partnership.
Jemss has shown an immense amount of early promise. At her first trial in October, she finished a close 3rd to subsequent $1 million Golden Gift and G2 Riesling Stakes winner Dame Giselle with Max Lees Classic winner Tilia Rose splitting the pair. Unfortunately she failed to make the field for the inaugural $1 million Golden Gift after being listed as an emergency.
Jemss won her next trial and was 4th on debut behind Aim on December 21 at Randwick. She then ran 3rd to Vangelic on New Years Day.
Her best performance came in the G3 Magic Night Stakes (see attached replay). She was wide throughout on a Soft 6 surface and 14 th at the 800m mark but finished a mere 0.6L from the winner in 3rd.
She was sent for a spell following two below par performances and has been back in the Rosehill stables for approximately three weeks.
By Exosphere out of More Than Ready mare Carbon Tax, Jemss is an outcross for Danehill-line stallions.
She hails from the famed 'Leica' family, with her third dam being LEICA JEWEL (dam of REDDING). Carbon Tax has had three named foals, including 3x winner Emissions.
