Description
Danehill FREE 2YO Black type mare / Served by QLD leading sire.
Sylpheed was a fantastic racehorse who won Listed races and also ran well in a series of Group races.
She was a talented racehorse between the ages of 2 to 6 years old, running consistently over a wide range of distances from 1100m to 2600m in a variety of areas from NSW, QLD, VIC and SA.
If her owners and trainers had been able to recognise her mid-distance aptitude early on, she could have won the Queensland Oaks and other G1 races for three-year-old fillies.
In that sense, we were unlucky, but you are lucky.
Unlike many other mares, she is sired by Danehill and Danzig Free. 2 year old black type mares with this type of sire structure are extremely rare and valuable.
And just as Snitzel has shed SNITTKY KITTY with the Tale of the Cat mare, a cross of Storm Bird and Nijinsky would make a great horse when mixed with the current mainstream Australian bloodlines. And many of those produced horses will attract the attention of buyers around the world at major Australian sales, including the Easter Sale, and are expected to fetch quite a high price.
She is currently at the Lyndhurst Stables in Queensland, where she is pregnant with a colt by Better Than Ready.
The owner has switched to a strategy of concentrating on two year old group racing in Sydney due to the current restrictions on travel from Japan to Australia, so the horses in the rest of the state are being sorted out in stages.
She is in extremely good health and, if all goes well, will give birth to her first foal, Queensland's leading sire Better Than Ready, in a few months' time.
Her pedigree value is excellent, and Her foal is one of the best of the Better Than Ready's foals.
The foal will be no less than $200,000 when placed at auction, and if you own and run the foal, you can expect him to have a good chance of winning the QTIS JEWEL and other high-stakes races in Queensland.
And If she have a bleed with NSW's Top Sire would be able to sell the foal for over $500,000 each year.
Her offspring will be a cross between a great racehorse and a great mare, Toltrice. Therefore, if she gives birth to a filly, the future enjoyment will be even greater.
Better Than Ready's foal has shown a great run this season,too. And we expect to see more successful horses to win big races in the future. We have high hopes for the offspring produced by Sylpheed.
Better Than Ready's service fee was paid in June of this year under a Free Return agreement.
