2 Career starts to date - Stakes Placed!
Wanaroo showed from the get go that she is a filly with tremendous racing ability and phenomenal acceleration. Her first start in a 2YO Filly race over 1000m at Moonee Valley is clear indication of what potential she has and almost has to be seen to be believed. Last on the turn and giving the leaders plenty of head start, Wanaroo rattles home with blistering splits to finsih fourth beaten just over a length and a half. Her acceleration made the rest of the field seem to be in slow motion.
Wanaroo then backed that run up over the same distance at Flemington with a third placing in the Listed Festival stakes just over a length behind the winner Tycoon Humma who is undefeated to date and looks to have a huge race career ahead of her.
When you look at her breeding it is easy to see where Wanaroo gets her racetrack ability from. By the Group 1 winning son of Snitzel in Wandjina, she is out of the winning Street Cry mare Taghrooda, who is a half sister to Group 1 winner and multiple Group 1 performed Rewaaya and Saywaan, dam of Group 1 winner Sense Of Occassion.
This is a pedigree that can only fit one and a half dams on the first page due to the depth of the blacktype racetrack performers in it.
Although this filly is being offered as a racing proposition she is also presented with a breeding soundness certificate as well as a full vet report.
