DELECTATION GIRL is a 2yo 1200m Group winner (by 2.8L at only her second race start, having also won her first start).
She then trained on to become a proper race mare that had the temperament and constitution to be stakes performed on three continents.
She won three Group races in Europe, was 4th in a Group race at Churchill Downs in the USA and was Group performed three times in Australia, including a second in the Angst Stakes, beaten by Group 1 winner Nettoyer, and 4th in the Group 1 Queen of the Turf (WFA) behind Group 1 winners Con Te Partiro, Funstar and Danzdanzdance. In the Queen of the Turf she defeated Group 1 winner Nettoyer and six Group 2 winners (Noire, Invincible Gem, Alizee, Positive Peace, Spanish Reef and Miss Siska).
These horses have gone on to sell exceptionally well: Con Te Partiro ($US1.6m), Funstar ($1m+ in this auction), Danzdanzdance ($475k), Nettoyer ($900k), Noire ($800k), Positive Peace ($800k) and Spanish Reef ($550k). Delectation Girl belongs in this company and can be purchased for substantially less than all of them.
She ran a strong 3rd at her last start at Flemington and is now ready to head to the breeding barn (see attached breeding soundness certificate).
As a broodmare her pedigree will allow you to tap into elite international bloodlines not readily available in Australia including Pivotal (sire of 31 Group 1 winners), Dansili (sire of 22 Group 1 winners) and Indian Ridge (sire of 10 Group 1 winners).
