Description
Duty was initially bought as a stallion prospect back at the yearling sales in 2018 when purchased in conjunction with Coolmore for $1,000,000.
He didn't live up to the price tag, however with a bit of patience has grown into a tough, consistent performer with some excellent form around him up to the distance of 1900m.
His penultimate start saw him an easy winner over the 1800m at Hawkesbury. As it transpired, he beat home in 2nd the Adrian Knox and Queensland Oaks winner, Duais. Back in 3rd was Yiyi who has since won impressively in town and looks a progressive type.
His final start he headed to Canterbury from a tricky barrier. He had to work very throughout the early stages of the event and the pace was strong. In tricky circumstances he stuck on extremely well for 3rd.
We gave him an extended break over the winter to avoid the wet tracks and had him back in work in preparation for a summer campaign. In that time the ownership has decided to move him on as a new season begins.
