LADY SOL (NZ) is an unraced 10yo mare by the Group 1 winning sire NOM DU JEU (NZ). Nom Du Jeu was the winner of the Group 1 AJC Australian Derby and won over $1.9million in prizemoney. As a broodmare sire, he has sired 3 winners, including the Group 3 winning 2yo MAGNETO (NZ), who placed 4th in the Group 1 ARC Diamond Stakes and the Group 3 winning KINANE (NZ).
Lady Sol is out of the unraced ZABEEL (NZ) mare STAREEL (NZ), making her a half-sister to the multiple Champion Racehorse, 6-time Group 1 winner and 5-time Group 1 producing sire DUNDEEL (NZ) ($5,386,160). Dundeel is the sire of exciting young stallions CASTLEVECCHIO and SUPER SETH. Lady Sol’s 2nd Dam is dual Group 1 winner and New Zealand Champion 3yo Filly STARING (NZ). Lady Sol’s REDOUTE’S CHOICE half-sister named RHAENYS recently sold at the 2021 Inglis Chairman’s Sale for $410,000.
Lady Sol has produced two foals that have gone through a sale ring so far. Her first foal was a $70,000 Great Southern Weanling Sale graduate by Dissident named DISSISOUL, who was a winner at its last start and her second foal is an unraced 3yo gelding by HINCHINBROOK named SOLBROOK STAR that sold for $100,000 at the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale to Andrew Noblet Racing. Lady Sol’s third foal is a 2yo filly by ALL TOO HARD that has been retained by her breeder.
Lady Sol foaled a very smart bay filly on 1st September by multiple Group 1 winner THE AUTUMN SUN. The Autumn Sun was an undefeated 2yo, culminating with victory in the Group 1 BRC JJ Atkins Stakes. He returned in his 3yo season to win the Group 1 ATC Golden Rose, Group 1 MRC Caulfield Guineas, Group 1 ATC Randwick Guineas and Group 1 ATC Rosehill Guineas. He is the only horse in history to clean sweep the Guineas races. His oldest progeny are now yearlings, his first crop weanlings sold up to $360,000 at this year’s Magic Millions National Weanling sale.
