Description
Military Men is a 3YO gelding by Air Force Blue (USA) out of Group 1 producing mare Memories of You (IRE). He is a gelding that we hold in high regard with a bright future as a late 3yo staying prospect. He has only had two-career starts to date where he finished 7th on debut at Newcastle over 1300m. He stepped up to the 1550m on the 4th of August where he finished 6th beaten 2.83 lengths at Canterbury. His pedigree and physical appearance suggest he is only going to improve when he fully matures. The Chris Waller stable has seen this improvement with from progeny from Memories of You (IRE) with Unforgotten who went on to win the ATC Oaks over 2400m and also in recent months, Yiyi who is now a 4YO and in career best form, competing at Sydney metropolitan level.
Military Men has untapped potential and will improve with racing and running over longer distances. He is being sold as a sound, lightly raced, racing proposition. Unfortunately, he doesn’t fit the business model of racing colts for his ownership group so the decision has been made to move him on unreserved.
He went to the paddock on the 7th of September awaiting sale.
Temperament: He is a well-educated gelding who has a lovely temperament on the training tracks. He has no quirks and a pleasure to train.
