LUCCIOLA (IRE) by Verglas won 11 times –7 in succession over 1400m to 2200m and was Listed placed.

Lucciola has had 3 foals to race for 3 winners, including her first foal, G3 and Listed placed LUCICELLO. All three are now at stud and in foal .

Her dam SERRES has produced 9 to race with 8 winners including 3 UK Group winners who are all now producers in particular LIBER NAUTICUS the dam of group 3 winner TREVAUNANCE and Listed winner MISS CELESTIAL.

Being by Verglas she is the perfect outcross and can be covered by a majority of the stallions in Australia or can even be sent overseas to continue her breeding due to her strong international family

Sadly the best of her foals a colt by STAR TURN was injured in the paddock just before the Yearling sales and had to be put down .

LUCCIOLA has a September cover allowing for early future covers and entry into the best sales in Australia.

LUCCIOLA conceived to PALACE PIER, a son of Kingman, on her first cover last year. The five-time G1 winner, two of which he won at UK’s premier meeting, Royal Ascot, was crowned World Champion Miler and is from the tough Invincible Spirit sire line which is seen throughout Australia. He was an undefeated juvenile by a combined eight-length margin and achieved the Royal Ascot double: G1 St James’s Palace Stakes at three and G1 Queen Anne Stakes at four.
