Description
2-Year-Old Stakes Placed Racing/Breeding Prospect
From a genetic perspective it was felt Wanaroo’s best distance would be 1400-1600m, but she displayed natural brilliance at 2 years to place 3rd in the Festival Stakes LR over 1000m at Flemington.
Of only two starts at 2 years she has excellent close up form against Group winners Kallos and Flying Evelyn
At 3 years she has again showed her brilliance to dominate by 3.8 lengths over 1100m (Only 0.85 sec outside the track record.)

She is from a deep, fast Australian family, including recent stakes winners Malkovich and Wandabaa as well as Sense of Occasion and Seewhatshebrings
She has a lovely balanced pedigree being by the Snitzel line Wandjina out of a Street Cry mare and thus carries two strains of the influential Last Tycoon
Wanaroo will suit any number of commercial stallions in Australia
In order to try and capitalise on a hot broodmare market she was catalogued in the 2022 Chairman’s Sale as a Racing / Breeding prospect but unfortunately developed some travel sickness enroute to the Sydney sale and had to be withdrawn.
While Wanaroo is being sold as breeding prospect from a soundness perspective there are no physical soundness issues whatsoever.
Her two most recent preps she has encountered no issues and was very pleasing in her work (frustratingly so.... given her subsequent performances), and while her runs have certainly not been poor they were disappointing given what she showed on the training track and what we felt she was capable of.

As you can see from the photos and video she is an athletic, neat, correct mare with power in all the right places from a physical perspective.
