Description
Vanilla Sky is by ALL TOO HARD, out of a stakes winning REDOUTE’S CHOICE mare, is a half sister to D’ARGENTO and she is carrying a September cover to one of the hottest young stallions on the globe.
All this and we haven’t even got past the third line of the pedigree. Vanilla Sky is also a half sister to 5 other winners including Magic Millions 2YO Classic runner up Fullazaboot. He now races in Hong Kong as Hello Beauty and has won HK$1,080,400. The only sibling of Vanilla Sky who is not a winner is unraced and has produced a stakes performer.
Imagine what her foal could be worth if it’s a colt, as it would be reasonable to think it would be on the radar of the colts syndicates that are active at the major sales. This year Maurice’ sole yearling sold for $500,000 at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale and previously his yearlings have sold for up to $540,000 in 2022.
Mares in foal to Maurice have sold up to $1.4 million which is a display of the confidence the top end of the market has in him. This comes as no surprise really when you consider he is an incredibly versatile stallion who’s stock is continuing to rise in Australia and will continue to produce quality racehorse that win over all distances.
Although she is due to foal on the 4th September Vanilla Sky is conveniently located only a 3 hour float trip on dual express way to the Hunter Valley.
