Description
Morningside are excited to present the lovely young mare by Stratum, Zumbelina. She was a very talented racehorse over a long period amassing over $550,000 in prize money including two placings at Group level. She is currently in foal to the exciting young Stallion by Written Tycoon, Written By. Champion 2YO colt Written By’s progeny have started exceptionally well in their first season on the track providing him with more stakes performers than Snitzel produced in his first crop. The mare has already produced a lovely type of filly by Written Tycoon who was purchased by the Waterhouse/ Bott stable at the Magic Millions yearling sale for $300,000. She has thrown another beautiful filly by Ole Kirk in 2022 who is likely to head to a leading yearling sale in 2024. Zumbelina is expected to foal early October giving potential buyers an opportunity to get a Written By foal on the ground and send her to a stallion of their choosing in the upcoming breeding season. The mare has never had any issues in relation to breeding and she is presented for sale sound and in great condition. Zumbelina is easy to deal with on the ground and would make a lovely addition to any breeders broodmare band. The mare is being sold to consolidate mare numbers for the farm heading into the breeding season.
