Recent 2023 pedigree update with Wanaroo’s half -sister EXPRESS YO’SELF (Alabama Express) being stakes placed at 2 in the Merson Cooper Stakes Listed.
From a genetic perspective it was felt Wanaroo’s best distance would be 1400-1600m, but she displayed natural brilliance at 2 years to place 3rd in the Festival Stakes Listed over 1000m at Flemington (absent very strong form lines including TRAFFIC WARDEN)
Of only two starts at 2 years she had excellent close-up form against Group winners Kallos and Flying Evelyn
At 3 years she again showed her brilliance to dominate by 3.8 lengths over 1100m (Only 0.85 sec outside the track record.)
