Description
* Please note this colt was found to have a very small/superficial mucosal lesion at his pre sale scope. He has been placed on antibiotics and the vendors are happy warranty the condition and to hold the colt at no charge until the lesion is resolved.
This colt oozes quality and will not disappoint on inspection. He is a lovely athletic mover, with correct conformation and the typical Rommel style about him. You won’t need to wait long to see him run as he looks an out and out early runner. Approx.15.0 ½ and 469kg.
Rommel is currently the leading 2yo sire in WA and continues to produce winners week on week. He has had 8 individual 2yo runners so far this season including the very tough and consistent Battle Commander who has amassed over $180,000 in stakes with his win and 4 placings (including a second to Busting) and finishing just behind the placegetters with a gutsy 4th in the Sire Produce.
Rommel’s progeny improve with age and distance, having winners from 1000m to 2000m and beyond and his oldest crop (current 5yo) include the recent Saturday winner Bandalera Beau ($227,000) and the smart multiple Hong Kong winner Tourbillon Prince (raced in Perth as Pale Rider) as well as other recent winners Storm Commander ($262,000), Miss Eugene, Rommel’s Jeuney and Ultimate Command.
He is from the winning Dash for Cash mare Cashere Miss, who is a half-sister to five winners including the stakes winning Desert Lashes (Reward for Effort), who amassed 10 wins including two at 2yo.
This is the second foal of the mare, the first being a 3yo full sister (Rommel’s Goddess) who has been placed and showed good form around talented horses such as Justabittapress from just a handful of starts.
This yearling forms part of the unreserved reduction sale for the stud as we wind back our numbers.
