Description
Great opportunity to race consistent middle-distance galloper Retourne.
The son of Shamexpress has had 14 starts for one win and seven placings. His win came over 2100m and he has placed in town over 1600m and 1800m. He is very versatile having performed well from a mile up to 2400m.
The four-year-old is crying out for some give in the ground as he loves getting his toe in the ground as he has one win and a second from his only two starts on a rain affected going. He is a full-brother to Group 3 winner Maracana, who won five races including three on wet ground.
He last raced on April 10 at Kyneton for a sixth placing, beaten less than three lengths. This was his seventh start of the preparation and he pulled sound from that race.
The gelding is an easy ride, floats well and can be shoed no problem. He has experience training on a treadmill and at a beach.
