Description
Sak the Writer is a lightly races 3 year old Gelding by Written By out of Manhattan Rain mare Miss Saks. Miss Saks is a half sister to multiple stakes placegetter Bondi who was narrowly beaten in both the Gr1. Champagne Stakes and LR. Breeders Plate.
The gelding is fully educated having been trained by Michael Freedman at Randwick and most recently Stephen O'Halloran at Hawkesbury. The gelding has only had 3 starts at the provincials and will be suited racing further in trip and in a weaker jurisdiction. Throughout his career, many jockeys have noted he can sustain a gallop and would be best suited to getting over 1600m and beyond.
The gelding is being sold unreserved and is race fit, having only had 1 and 2 trials this preparation. He has pulled up sound and with no issues following his last run.
He is currently in-work at Hawkesbury racecourse and a vet inspection can be arranged.
