Description
Pannikin is a young mare by European and world-class renowned sire Frankel, out of the Deep Impact mare Puppy Love (JPN). She hails from a strong family of international performers and producers. Her grand dam, Love and Bubbles (Loup Sauvage), was a dual stakes winner and produced Group 1 Japanese winner Deep Brillante, further highlighting the depth and quality of this pedigree. Pannikin is a European-bred mare, and it's worth noting that recent Gr.1 winners produced from European-bred mares include Linebacker, Militarize, Colette, and Hungry Heart.
Although Pannikin did not perform on the track, it is important to highlight that recent Gr.1 winners - such as Think It Over, Hayasugi, Mr Brightside, and Ole Kirk - were produced from mares who were unraced.
As a broodmare Pannikin has a weanling from the first crop of young sire Diatonic, a Japanese multiple Group winning sprinter miler by Lord Kanaloa. Renowned for his speed and consistency, Diatonic earned over $5.2 million in career earnings. He hails from the direct female line of breed shapers Halo and Northern Dancer and was supported with some of Yulong’s best mares in his first season at stud, including Snapdancer, In Her Time and Melody Belle.
She’s currently in foal to Group producer Lucky Vega, sire of the 2025 Gr.2 Sweet Embrace Stakes winner Within The Law. Lucky Vega has proven to be an incredible investment for breeders, with yearlings selling up to $380,000 in 2025
and averaging eight-times their conception fee.
