Description
Rock And Swing is beautifully bred, outstanding type that has been recently retired from racing due to injury and is being offered as a future stud proposition. A son of the Champion sire Fastnet Rock and out of a full-sister to High Chaparral, Rock And Swing has instant stallion appeal.
Both Fastnet Rock and High Chaparral are forging their legacies with sire sons at stud such as Foxwedge, Smart Missile, Your Song and So you Think and Toronado respectively. This is a cross that provides stallion making lineage on both sides of the pedigree.
Knocked down to a winning bid of $600,000 through the NZB Premier Yearling sale ring provides an indication of the physical quality this horse possesses. On type he is a beautifully balanced, plenty of length, strength and scope and will no doubt let down into an imposing stallion as he matures.
Rock And Swing hit the ground running as a racehorse winning first up as a 2YO over 1200m at Warwick Farm then competing in the Group 3 Ballieu at his next start before being tipped out for a spell. He returned in the autumn of his 2YO season running third at Rosehill first up and then performing admirably at Group 2 and Group 3 level where he took on some of the best about such as Jon Snow, Prized Icon, Foxplay and Mongollian Wolf.
