A quality yearling colt by SCINTILLO from Head Sail ( Encosta Delago).
SCINTILLO won the 2yo Gran Criterium Group 1, defeating Gladiatorus (who shortly after won G1's Dubai Duty Free and Premio Vittorio) and was awarded the ‘ World’s highest rated horse “.
As a 4yo he won theGroup 2 Grand Prix de Chantilly defeating Chincon (winner of G1 $2m Singapore Airlines International Cup & Gr 1 United Nations Stakes) and the Group 3 Winter Derby.
Earlier he was crowned the Champion 2YO colt in Italy in 2007 and the ROA All-weather Horse Of The Year in 2009.
Scintillo is out of the multiple Group 1 winning mare Danseuse Du Soir, incl the French Thousand Guineas . She was the Broodmare of the Year in 2007.
Scintillo's sire the Group 1 winner Fantastic Light won six Group 1 races in five countries and retired with earnings of $8,486,957.
SCINTILLO is FANTASTIC LIGHT’S only son at stud . He is well represented by his daughters as they have produced three Gr1 winners to date incl TRIP TO PARIS , Ascot Gold Cup .
Dam of this colt Head Sail is by Encosta Delago , from a Rainbow Quest mare , from a Sadler’s Well mare .
Full sibling yearlings to Head Sail have sold for $260,000 & $280,000 which is testimony to her pedigree which contains quality black type throughout with the standout being RED ROCKS , Breeders Cup Turf , Gr1, etc , stands at stud in Kentucky.
