Darbree is a 5yo mare by Darci Brahma, who is a half sister to two winners, inc promising Ellerton/ Zahra trained, What A Shock.
Darbree is from the Black Minnaloushe mare Tiz Kate, who is a 1/2 sister to the Champion NZ 2yo filly Katana. Katana has become a proven producer in America, leaving the Grp 2 winner and Grp 1 placed filly, Broken Sword.
Darbree has left a very attractive and athletic first foal by Super One, which will be retained to race by her breeder. She sells in foal to Champion 2yo and Golden Slipper winner Sepoy.
Sepoy is beginning to make significant inroads as a sire, as he is now the sire of 17 individual stakes performers worldwide, inc the multiple Grp 1 winner in Alizee. His yearlings this yr have sold up to $400K.
Darbree is a lovely physical, that stands approx. 15.3 high, with good scope and bone. She is a lovely natured mare that is easy to do anything with and has done a good job with her first foal.
