Description
Oh what could have been with this gelding but alas it has never materialised and the owners have now had enough. Their patience has evaporated and they have decided as a group that the horse has to go.
Some horses go through their careers unscathed and others everything that can go wrong – does!
Hence the case here with PUB GRUB. He has stacks of ability but one minor issue after another after another after another has hounded this horse. None of the complaints were career ending but just required extended spells.
An example - damage to a hoof wall meaning that the horse had to sit in the paddock for 8 months, etc, etc.
This time in work he was ready to trial and he strained a minor ligament strain and needs 3 months off but that’s the straw the broke the camel’s back – he’s out the door.
If he was owned by one person they would keep going but with 20 owners all with different requirements time has run out so he is offered for unreserved sale.
His racing career is not over – but he just needs a trainer who is a horseman that can devote time.
Get him right and he’s a still got his maiden in him – Opportunity knocks !
