Description
The Filly
Being sold reluctantly to dissolve a partnership.
This regally bred unnamed filly is a lovely healthy two year old with a great temperament. A chestnut, of above average size (just over 16 hands)with well developed chest and rump and excellent conformation. A strong forward filly with balance and athleticism that has been given plenty of time to grow into herself. She is entirely sound and has never had any issues regarding injury or health. Totally untried, she is ready to be broken in and prepared for racing.
Dam
At her 2nd start, Miss Shebring broke the class record at the Gold Coast (albeit in finishing a close-up 4th.) in a lead-up to the Magic Millions. She showed great potential. After a series of setbacks Miss Shebring was retired after only 10 starts. Miss Shebring is by the Golden Slipper winning champion of his generation and highly successful Sire, Sebring. Her Dam (Miss Excellence) by champion Sire Exceed and Excel, is an unraced full sister to Reward for Effort and 3/4 sister to Overreach (Golden Slipper winner) and Outreach. Miss Shebring boasts no fewer than six individual Golden Slipper winners and a Blue Diamond winner in her 5x Pedigree.
Sire
Tragically the English Sire, Poet’s Voice, a champion G1 winning son of Dubawi, passed away in March 2018. Much underrated in Australia, he outperforms many more highly regarded sires on a winners to runners basis. Examples include:
