Description

Fast 2yo mare that was unlucky not to get black type for sale in foal to Cornerstone Stud's impressive stallion Sir Prancealot.

Flight Academy is a 4 times winning shaft mare that won $167,150 in prize money during her career. As a 2yo Flight Academy won 3 races in a row cumulating in a city win in Sydney. She then went on to run an extremely unlucky 4th in the Fireball Stakes in which she should have gained black type. This run was behind top class 2yo Sidestep who went on to run 2nd in the Golden Slipper. Flight Academy was a very fast 2yo.

Out of a mare by Royal Academy her family is full of winners. She is also a 3/4 relation to Supreme Effort who is an 8 times winner and black type performer. The family obviously loves and nicks well with Shaft.

In foal to Sir Prancealot, he is a stallion really making a name for himself in the Northern Hemisphere. From modest Crop sizes he has produced huge amount of winners (65% stakes winners to runner) top stakes performers like Sir Dancealot, Madam Dancealot, Beau Recall and recent Stakes winner Ginger Nut. From only 11 runners in the USA Sir Prancealot has produced 8 winners for 5 stakes performers and 3 stakes winners.

Historically this cross (Sir Prancealot-Danehill-line mares) is a very good one. Sir Dancealot and Madam Dancealot are both out of Danehill-line mares. In fact his Sire (Tamayuz) and Grand Sire (Nayef) love Danehill too. Statistically the cross between any of these three and Danehill-line mares goes at 25% stakes winners to runners from 55 to hit the track.
