Description
Genuine city class 5yo son of So You Think from the family of Sunline – a Group 2 placed 3yo, 4 x winner and 12 x placed from 25 starts and $169,910 in prizemoney.
Kaching has been a model of consistency over the last 12 months. This preparation so far, while being unlucky not to win, from 6 starts Kaching has placed 3 times including twice at Metropolitan Benchmark 78 – 84 level and earned $37k in prizemoney. He had excuses out of his last start having pulled up muscle sore (note a dynamic scope was performed and confirmed there has been no further deterioration of his throat with his performance put down to a strained hamstring). With treatment he has since come out of that well and is currently race fit.
A beautifully natured and conformed gelding, Kaching showed great ability in his 3yo year before needing a hob-day and tie-back surgery which set him back in his autumn 3yo to Spring 4yo preparations.
He has since raced successfully including winning 3 times and placing multiple times at Metropolitan level and while he may have reached his level here in Victoria, he is capable of continuing to race in the right grade and with the right management.
His is rated 75 in Victoria yet has raced competitively up to BM84 Saturday grade this campaign and he will suit provincial / off-season city class here in VIC or an interstate Metropolitan stable.
Being sold to dissolve the partnership, it's a regrettable decision amongst some owners to sell Kaching however a majority decision has been made to move him on (note: some have advised that would be interested to retain their share if possible).
