Description

Written Tycoon mare who has won 5 races (1400m) and placed in another 5 from only 21 starts. Now retired and offered for sale as a promising broodmare prospect, in time to get her in foal this season.

She's by the exceptional stallion Written Tycoon, and out of the Desert Sun mare Donna Carina who is from the family of champions Sunline and Phar Lap. It's a great outcross pedigree suitable for all popular stallion lines. She's a big, strong mare with plenty to offer her future foals.

Her racing career demonstrates an incredibly consistent and tough mare, running top 4 in 10 of her last 13 starts. She won in a range of conditions from Good 3 to Soft 7, with a distinctive racing style the key to her success - she began fast, usually led or raced on speed, sustained a strong tempo, and kept going.

Her full sister Writteninthestars won 3 Sydney metropolitan races (1200m-1250m) for Chris Waller; another full sister Andsoitiswritten won 5 races (1100m-1200m) up to Sydney metropolitan level; and her half brother Highly Desired is currently in work, having won 3 races (1100m-1600m) from only 13 starts, beaten a nose by Chris Waller's Sydney metropolitan winner Flying Pierro last prep.

She has been retired after a small fragment was found in a fetlock on X-ray, and a decision made by the ownership group to grant her a much-deserved retirement and opportunity to enter stud with a new owner.
