Description

Very lightly raced 3YO who looks to have his best years ahead of him yet as the stock of his sire appear to certainly get better with age. He has only had the 4 career starts and his best run to date was most recently over 1600m where he finished 4th when he was ridden back and finished the race off well only beaten 2.5 lengths.

His sire GINGERBREAD MAN (by Shamardal) is a sireline that there isn't a lot of in this part of the world but it is potent and gets better as the progeny of it, mature. The better performers by Gingerbread Man such as Achernar Star (Stakes winner of 1400m and 1500m) and Neurological (Stakes winner over 1400m) have both got better with age and his progeny seem very effective up to that mile distance.

CHONCAPE is sound and has plenty of racing left in him in our opinion, but looks as though he would be suited to a smaller stable that targets the country and provincial areas.
