Description
City class mares make the best broodmares which augurs extremely well for the talented Norocos, a terrific race mare who, during a 37 start career that spanned three years, won seven races... filling the placings on a further nine occasions and amassing over $234,000 in stakes.
Tough, talented and consistent, Norocos won from 900m to 1200m and had an impressive turn of foot, one which saw her competitive at stakes level, twice finishing on the heels of the placegetters in Listed company.
In winning form at two, three and four and on two occasions winning two in a row, Norocos is being sold with a lovely Colt at foot, a son of the reliably classy stallion Husson who stood last spring at a fee of $9,900.
A triple Gr.1 winning son of the wonderful Hussonet, Husson has well and truly proven his worth at stud, siring 15 stakes winners. 62.9% of his runners are winners and his progeny are adaptable winning over a variety of distances between 810m and 3600m!
Norocos is by the Queensland stalwart Show A Heart, four times Gr.1 winning highly successful sire of 25 stakes winners and an emerging broodmare sire force with his daughters already producing 11 stakes winners (an outstanding winners-to-runners strike rate of 68.5%) including the Gr.1 mare Miss Cover Girl and the exciting young stallion Winning Rupert.
Norocos is one of four winners (from five to race) for the Danewin mare Oakwood Park whose dam Foster's Express by Success Express produced five winners... this is a real runners family!
And a classy one too with Norocos able to boast amongst her relations the feature race winners Blackfriars (VRC Derby winning successful stallion), Larrocha (South Australian Oaks winning dam of the Wakeful Stakes winner Rocha), the Tulloch Stakes winner Manton and this year's Ming Dynasty winner Quick Thinker.
Norocos has plenty happening for her with her first foal Mashaka close to a win on the back of a recent placing whilst still to come are youngsters by Bel Esprit (a $50,000 yearling) and Jabali.
