Description
Aussie is a son of Champion sire Snitzel and a half-brother to multiple Champion Sprinter and very successful stallion Starspangledbanner. He is also a half-brother to the dam of Group 1 winner Amicus, and comes from one of Australia's very best families.
Aussie has had just five starts, in his first he split Dawn Passage and Bivouac at Randwick, before finishing close up in the Group 3 Blue Diamond Prelude at Caulfield. He broke his maiden in good style at Hawkesbury and returned this preparation to run a very close second at the same course.
He is being sold as he is a gelding and his owners are only interested in stallion prospects. He last start second in strong company shows he is ready to go and win his Class 1 for his new owners.
He has been spelling since his most recent run and is considered suitable to head straight back into work. He is available to be inspected and/or vetted at Oak Ridge Farm (1 hour west of Sydney) prior to the conclusion of the sale.
