Description
On behalf of a client Rosemont Stud is pleased to offer Spendin’ It, a young (7 yr old) broodmare by leading Australian broodmare sire Encosta De Lago, with her Starcraft filly foal at foot. Out of a mare by another leading broodmare sire in Flying Spur, Spendin’ It has the pedigree attributes to succeed and to top it off, she hails from one of the best families in the Australian stud book with her third dam being TRACY’S ELEMENT. The mother of horse of the year TYPHOON TRACY, this family is one that continues to produce quality racehorses year after year, the latest offering being the Caulfield Guineas runner up ALLIGATOR BLOOD, a grandson of Typhoon Tracy’s stakes placed full sister KYLIKWONG. Alligator Blood’s mother - like Spendin’ It - is also an unraced mare by Encosta de Lago.
Spendin’ It sells with her latest foal, a Starcraft filly, at foot. This filly is a typical product of her sire, both correct and strong. While Starcraft’s colts continue to sell and race well in Asia, his fillies are now also beginning to make their mark as broodmares – last Saturday’s Doomben Bribie Stakes winner SPURCRAFT was Starcraft’s ninth stakes winner as a broodmare sire and in that category Starcraft boasts a 7% stakeswinners to runners record at this early stage of his career. This filly carries the pedigree and confirmation to add to her sire’s record.
With a relatively late foal (30/10) at foot, Spendin’ It was not served this breeding season. She sells with a full breeding certificate and will be ready for a very early cover next breeding season.
