True Connection (AUS) is by Champion Broodmare sire Bernardini (USA) out of 5-time-winning Encosta De Lago (AUS) mare, Mystic Elle (AUS).
A winner herself, she is a half-sister to stakes winner Elite Elle and stakes performed Classic Elle.
Elite Elle is the dam of two named foals, with one to race being the smart Smart Missile (AUS) mare Propelle - winner of 3 races, including once as a 2-year-old and has collected just shy of $195,000 in prize money with the potential of black type to come.
With Zoustar (AUS), Deep Field (AUS), Brazen Beau (AUS) and Foxwedge (AUS) foals to come from Elite Elle (AUS) the potential for pedigree updates in the first dam is strong. Other young mares in the first dam are in foal to Deep Field and Shooting To Win.
True Connection has been very unlucky in the breeding barn. She slipped her first season at stud and was given the year off that following season to recover. Her 2019 foal by Sebring was a colt that died on birth and she didn’t go in foal this year. She is due a change of luck.
As you will see by the photos True Connection is an excellent style of mare. Good size and quality, correct and plenty of bone.
