Description
This colt is by Champion Sire ENCOSTA DE LAGO’s Group 1 winning 2yo and successful stallion MANHATTAN RAIN. He is out the multiple Melbourne winning and Group placed ELUSIVE QUALITY (USA) mare VIKING TURF BELLE.
Manhattan Rain won the Group 1 AJC Sires Produce Stakes and placed in both the Golden Slipper and Champagne Stakes as a 2yo. As a 3yo he ran 2nd in the Group 1 Cox Plate and 3rd in the Caulfield Guineas. At stud he is the sire of many Stakes winners including Group 1 Golden Slipper Stakes winner SHE WILL REIGN, South African Group 1 winner WHISKY BARON and other Group winners JAMAICAN RAIN, WILD RAIN, SCARLET RAIN, RUNAWAY, MOONOVERMANHATTAN, etc. His progeny earnings now exceed $20 million and he currently has a 62% winners to runners ratio. His yearlings at this year’s Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale sold to $310,000.
