Description
This colt is by the Champion 2yo and wonderfully successful stallion SEBRING. He is the first foal of the multiple Melbourne winning and Group placed ENCOSTA DE LAGO mare ALASKAN ROSE (NZ).
Sebring was the winner of both the Group 1 Golden Slipper and the Group 1 Sires Produce in his juvenile season. At stud he is the sire of 59 individual Stakes winners including 6 individual Group 1 winners. They include the 5xGr1 winner and sire DISSIDENT and more recently, this season’s Doncaster Handicap winner NETTOYER. Sebring’s total progeny earnings now stand at $88.2 million.
Alaskan Rose is by multiple Champion Broodmare Sire ENCOSTA DE LAGO, who is the broodmare sire of Group 1 winners HAPPY CLAPPER, IMPENDING, ALABAMA EXPRESS etc. Alaskan Rose is from the family of Group 2 winning, multiple Group 1 placed mare QUAYS, who is out of the Group 2 winning 2yo and Group 1 winning 3yo PONTAL LASS.
The Sebring x Encosta de Lago cross is a proven one, currently at 60% winners to runners, with the likes of Group winners BELIEVE YOURSELF, CATCH A FIRE, CLIFTON RED, SEABURGE and the exciting Hong Kong sprint star AETHERO all bred this way.
This colt is a neat, tidy sort who on the 22nd of April weighed 405kgs and stood 154cms tall.
