Description
Caminetto is by the multiple Champion Australian Sire FASTNET ROCK, out of the imported Silver Hawk mare, Very Speed (USA). Bred by Widden Stud, Caminetto was presented for sale at the 2012 Magic Millions sale on the Gold Coast and purchased by Mark Kavanah for $240,000.
Mares by Fastnet Rock include Atlantic Jewel, Sea Siren, Planet Rock, Mosheen & Driefontein, just to name a few. Fastnet Rock is already the broodmare sire of 27 Stakes winners including the Group 1 winners SANTA ANA LANE, GYTRASH, TIVACI, etc. He has a strike rate of 60.2% winners to runners as a broodmare sire.
A winner over the mile, Caminetto stands approx 16hh, has great bone, excellent confirmation and a kind nature. She's good in the crush, great for the farrier and floats beautifully.
Purchased by PT Thoroughbreds with her 2nd foal, a colt by Scintillo at foot, Caminetto's 3rd foal, a filly by Akeed Mofeed is an outstanding weanling, who'll be prepared for the 2021 yearling sales.
It was unfortunate Caminetto did not conceive to National Defense last season, but the successful bidder has the opportunity to prepare this lovely mare for an early cover to the stallion of your choice.
