Description

True Course is a very good looking mare by one of the world’s great stallions, Dubawi.

Sold for Gns 300,000 (AUS $600,000) as a yearling at Tattersalls in the UK, True Course was twice a winner as a 2 year old over 5 furlongs. She is a strong, attractive mare with a good head and is correct. She moves well.

Her current 3 year old, Clever Candy (filly, by Intello), is in training with Michael Bell in Newmarket (UK). She is lightly raced and was a winner as a 2 year old, over 6 furlongs.

Her sire, Dubawi, has had success globally and has been extremely well suited to Australia. He is the sire of emerging super star sire Night Of Thunder and opportunities to buy young mares by him in Australia are limited. True Course is from an excellent family, largely developed by Juddmonte Farms. Her first two dams were Stakes winning sprinters. True Course is free of any Danehill blood.

True Course produced a colt by Smart Missile in 2019 and is back in foal to Smart Missile on a mid September cover. Smart Missile is one of Australia’s best stallions, having produced 6 Stakes winners so far in 2019 / 2020 and is currently 4th of all stallions by winners produced this season.
