Description
Handful is a two year old gelding & is bred to make a good stayer being by young sire sensation Dundeel out of the NZ Oaks placed Lady Annaliese.
This horse’s full brother Dundee shows promise as a stayer having running second at Newcastle on 7th July after winning well at Gosford over 1900. This followed a close placing at Wyong over 2100m, where he almost dead-heated with the highly regarded French import Alakahan (Ire).
Handful has had one start on a heavy 8 at Gosford on 28 May. The horse pulled up sore after slipping approaching the turn and then being untested. As a result, a vet certificate is required before racing again. This followed two good 800m trials at Gosford. In each of those outings his rider said he had a good action but he just needs distance and time to strengthen.
Handful will furnish with a good spell & will reward someone prepared to give him time to mature.
He is being offered unreserved to dissolve a partnership. Attached is his 2019 Classic Sale catalogue image and the x-ray report from the veterinary surgeon on 22 January 2019.
