Description
D’ORO RAIN is a three time-winner who also placed at city level during a successful career on the track. A beautifully put together daughter of leading stallion Medaglia d’Oro, this mare hails from a strong international family littered with black-type and would make a superb addition to any broodmare band.
Her multiple winning dam Compton Rainbow, who was also stakes performed, is a half-sister to Royal Ascot winner and Melbourne Cup placegetter MAHLER – the successful sire who finished runner-up in the Group 1 St Leger, the final leg of the British Triple Crown. She is also a half-sister to the dam of the late SIR EREC, a Grade 1 winner over hurdles who finished a 2.5L third to Champion Stayer Stradivarius as a three-year-old.
D’Oro Rain’s second dam, also a winner, is a sister to the dam of unbeaten Group 1 winner and successful stallion FOOTSTEPSINTHESAND, together with his Group 1-winning sibling PEDRO THE GREAT. D’Oro Rain is also a direct descendant of the Group 2 winner and blue hen producer DANCING ROCKS (her third dam).
